'Ocean's 11' actors to visit troops in Turkey

ANKARA, Turkey (CNN) -- Five actors starring in the new film "Ocean's Eleven" are heading to Turkey on a USO tour to boost the morale of U.S. and coalition troops there.

Actors George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon and Andy Garcia, along with producer Jerry Weintraub and director Steven Soderbergh, are planning to visit the troops, according to a Warner Brothers publicist.

The visit is to be Friday at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey, a source in Turkey told CNN.

The USO confirmed the visit Thursday but would say only that the four are headed to Turkey later this week.

Pat Messer, USO spokeswoman, described the visit as a "handshake tour." The performers will meet and spend time with the troops.

Damon told CNN that "Ocean's 11" will be screened for the troops.

Incirlik is a prominent U.S. military staging area.
