Hip-hop Web sites merge
HOLLYWOOD, California -- Hip-hop Web site Hookt.com, which has partnerships with rappers Sean "Puffy" Combs and Eminem, merged Monday with Platform.net, concluding four months of negotiations. The Web sites will continue to operate separately, but will share resources, including customer service, ad sales, and content production in an effort to increase efficiency. Combs' Internet venture, Bad Boy Technologies, merged with Hookt last fall. The new combined network includes Hookt, Platform, Hooktstore.com, SayShe.com, Puffdaddy.com, Badboyonline.com, Eminem's Slimshadyworld.com and Onthesneaktip.com. Reuters contributed to this report.
