January 10, 2001
Web posted at: 8:55 AM EST (1355 GMT)

DUBLIN, Ireland -- Two members of boy band 5ive were remanded on bail when they appeared in court charged in connection with a brawl in a bar.

Jason Brown, 23, and Ritchie Neville, 21, are both accused of having been drunk and disorderly in the Palace Bar in Fleet Street, Dublin, on December 20. Brown is also charged with assault, Dublin's District Court heard.

Both men, who were represented by Mr Peter Charleton SC, were bailed to appear at Dublin's Richmond Court on March 26.

The incident came the night before 5ive were to give a concert at the city's The Point venue. The event went ahead as scheduled.

After the brief hearing Brown and Neville were driven from the court in a blue Chrysler people-carrier with dark tinted windows.
