Tim, Faith pick up prom dinner tabNASHVILLE, Tennessee -- It was a special night for more than a dozen Overton High School students recently, and not just because it was prom night. The Tennessean newspaper reports that Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, country superstars, wedded couple and Nashville residents, picked up the tab for eight tables of promgoers who were dining at The Palm restaurant Saturday. An unidentified couple was paying for their dinner, the teens were told. Charlene Walker, the restaurant's general manager, tells The Tennessean that McGraw and Hill paid the bill for eight tables, but she wouldn't disclose the total. "It was a fair amount," she says. Davidovich gets pompous, righteous trainingSANTA MONICA, California -- Lolita Davidovich relied on anecdotes and information provided by her agent, a former trial lawyer, in preparing for her role in the "The Judge," an NBC miniseries airing Sunday and Monday. Davidovich plays a former county prosecutor who is hired to defend a judge who is charged with murder in the adaptation of the Steve Martini novel. What did Davidovich learn from her agent, David Brownstein? "You've just got to be full of yourself," she tells The Associated Press. "There's a certain pompousness that often goes with it, and a righteousness." It's time to act for J.LoHOLLYWOOD, California -- Actress-singer Jennifer Lopez is in talks to play an FBI agent in the action flick "Tick Tock," Variety reports. The story revolves around an amnesiac who wakes up in the custody of the FBI as the prime suspect in a series of Los Angeles bombings. Lopez has FBI experience: She played an agent in the 1998 flick "Out of Sight." Lopez plays a police officer in the supernatural thriller "Angel Eyes," which opens May 18. She last starred in "The Wedding Planner." On the music front, Lopez's sophomore album, "J.Lo," has sold 4 million copies to date. |
