Today's Buzz stories:

Bette betting on ICM

HOLLYWOOD, California -- After a failed foray on television and two less-than-stellar performances at the box office, Bette Midler is betting on a new agent to turn her career around.

The singer and actress dropped the Endeavor agency for International Creative Management, which will represent the award-winning performer and recording star in all areas except personal appearances, Variety reports.

This move comes after Midler's recent self-titled CBS sitcom was canceled after 16 episodes. Her recent feature credits include the ensemble drama "Drowning Mona," opposite Danny DeVito, and "Isn't She Great," with Nathan Lane, neither of which raked in money at the box office.

Add two to all the girls he's loved

MIAMI BEACH, Florida -- Latin singer Julio Iglesias is the proud papa of twin daughters, The Associated Press reports.

His longtime girlfriend, Miranda Rijnsburger, gave birth Tuesday at Mount Sinai Medical Center. All are doing well, Iglesias' spokeswoman said.

No official word on their names yet.

Iglesias, 57, and Rijnsburger have two sons, ages 2 and 3.

He also is the father of three adult children from his first marriage -- daughter Isabel, who is a Spanish-language television personality, and sons Enrique and Julio Jr., both singers.

Country star Clark charged with DUI

NASHVILLE, Tennessee -- Country singer Terri Clark was arrested Tuesday night and charged with drunken driving. She has since been released on $2,000 bond, The Associated Press reports.

Clark, known for country hits like "A Little Gasoline" and "Better Things to Do," was also charged with refusing to take a blood-alcohol test. Nashville police, however, said she had glassy eyes, was very talkative and had a hard time keeping her balance when she was asked to stand outside her car.

Clark, 32, said in a statement that she was driving home from a business meeting when she was stopped.

"While I had had some alcohol with dinner, I did not feel like I was impaired," she said. "I do not, nor have I ever condoned drinking and driving, and know that no matter how little alcohol one has, one should never drive after drinking.

"I apologize, and deeply regret this incident."

'Dalibor' opera has controversial Prague premiere

PRAGUE, Czech Republic -- The opera world is buzzing with the latest from Prague: Disgusted by the stormy response of the audience, Czech soprano Eva Urbanova said she would quit her leading role of Milada in the Czech opera "Dalibor."

Urbanova's decision, reported by The Associated Press, came after the audience booed the Sunday premiere of Bedrich Smetana's opera, which director Jan Antonin Pitinsky set in the present day rather than the Middle Ages.

Other changes in the production: Dalibor is traditionally portrayed as a medieval knight, but in this production he is a political prisoner. One of his guards reads a tabloid newspaper, watches TV and drinks coffee and beer.

The opera's original premiere in 1868 received a similar response. Upon seeing it, Czech nationalists accused Smetana of succumbing to the influence of composer Richard Wagner.

National Theater Director Jiri Srstka refused Wednesday to comment on the incident but said performances of "Dalibor" had not been canceled.
