Today's Buzz stories:

Leno's boyhood home faces bulldozer

BOSTON, Massachusetts -- Some town residents consider it a historic residence, but that apparently won't stop a developer from tearing down Jay Leno's Andover, Massachusetts, boyhood home.

The Andover Preservation Commission is expected to approve the demolition permit this month, knocking down the 1950s blue-shuttered gray Cape to make way for a $2.6 million, five-bedroom house under construction a few feet away.

Leno says if he knew this is what would become of his home, he wouldn't have sold it.

"I remember when I sold it, the Realtor said, 'It's not really the kind of house people want,' and I remember I was slightly insulted," Leno told The Associated Press on Thursday.

"We just had a good time in that house, we didn't lock the doors."

Woman: Don Johnson assaulted me

SAN FRANCISCO, California -- Don Johnson is being sued by a woman who claims the actor grabbed her and made lewd comments to her at a sushi bar.

The San Francisco Superior Court suit, filed Wednesday, claims the incident occurred in January while the woman was having dinner with friends at Mas Sake restaurant in San Francisco, The Associated Press reports.

The woman, whose name is not included in the suit, said she decided to introduce herself because she was a fan. She claims Johnson responded with inappropriate physical behavior.

Johnson is accused of sexual battery, assault and battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Prosecutors decided in early May not to file criminal charges against Johnson based on the alleged incident.

Johnson, star of TV shows like "Miami Vice" and "Nash Bridges," denies the allegations.

'Rhoda' star also vying for SAG job

HOLLYWOOD, California -- It's Rhoda Morgenstern against Laura Ingalls.

Valerie Harper, best known as the star of TV's "Rhoda," will challenge Melissa Gilbert, former star of "Little House On the Prairie," for the presidency of the Screen Actors Guild, Variety reports.

Current guild head William Daniels is stepping down and he endorses Harper.

"I think Valerie will make a great president because she is a centrist who can pull together all sides of the union -- right and left, east and west," Daniels tells Variety. "She is a dear friend, and I'm very happy with her decision to run."

Other early endorsements for Harper came from former SAG president Charlton Heston and board member Richard Dreyfuss, who was rumored earlier this year to be mulling a run.

Gilbert announced she was running for the position earlier this week.

German 'Big Diet' booted

(CNN) -- A German reality show known as the "Big Brother" for obese people has been cancelled due to low ratings, BBC News reports.

"Big Diet" followed a group of six men and six women as they lived under the spotlight of 42 cameras since May while attempting to lose weight.

Using the benefit of a luxury mansion, the group underwent gym sessions, medical examinations and lessons in healthy cooking while consuming just 1,200 calories a day. Those who fail to achieve their weight-loss goal each week faced being kicked off the show.

But due to low ratings, the show was cancelled six weeks early. Germany's version of "Big Brother" was also recently cancelled because of poor ratings, according to the BBC.
