Kate Moss injured in car accident
LONDON, England (CNN) -- Model Kate Moss was injured in a two-car crash Thursday in Essex, in southeast England. Both cars left the road and plunged down an embankment. Moss, 27, had to be cut free from the vehicle. She was taken to a hospital with shoulder injuries, Essex Police said. The driver complained of neck pains. An elderly couple was in the other car. Both were taken to the hospital, where the woman was being treated for back injuries. Moss, a native of London, became a top model in the early '90s with her waif-like image. She was featured in advertisements for Calvin Klein and recently signed a deal with Sephora.com, an online cosmetics retailer. In February, Moss told the British magazine Time Out that she quit modeling last year after becoming disillusioned with the fashion industry's hedonistic lifestyle. |
