Hanging out at 'Camp Oscar' with producer Cates
(CNN) -- Putting on the Oscars isn't a one-day affair. It requires booking guests, planning musical numbers, and -- yes -- making sure everything runs with tick-tock precision. The man in charge of producing the Oscar ceremony is Gil Cates. Each year, Cates and his staff participate in what they lovingly call "Camp Oscar" to make sure the show goes as planned. In the midst of his busy schedule, Cates took some time to speak with Showbiz Today Reports' Laurin Sydney about what it takes to put on the biggest awards show of the year. RELATED SITES:
