Spielberg's 'AI' has Web heads spinning

(CNN) -- Who is Evan Chan and why was he murdered in the year 2142? Thousands of Web surfers are trying to find the answer.

Steven Spielberg's "AI" releases this summer, and one of the names listed in the movie's trailer is Jeanine Salla, credited as a Sentient Machine Therapist. A Web search of that name leads to hundreds of Web pages about thinking robots, robot liberation and a murder mystery -- all in the future.
