| First Look: ESPN MLS ExtraTime
(IDG) -- Get ready for some real football action, soccer fans! Konami is prepping ESPN MLS ExtraTime for the PlayStation 2. All 12 MLS teams with their full rosters, as well as 53 International-style teams and four MLS all-star teams, will be in the game. Plus, Bob Ley will be delivering his play-by-play commentary, while the in-game graphics, interfaces, and menus that provide statistical information will all be created ESPN style. The game will also be completely bilingual for Spanish speaking fans -- all the play-by-play, in-game text-there will even be commentary in Spanish by Louis "Goooooaaaaallllllll!!!" Tapia. A create-a-player will enable gamers to modify a player's physical appearance as well as his speed, strength, stamina, and soccer skills. Gameplay modes will include Match, League, and Cup Scenarios. A Training mode will allow players to practice their on-field moves, including free kicks, corner kicks, and goalkeeping. In addition to separate ball/player physics and individual zone/man assignments, ExtraTime will incorporate a multiple pass system. When the ball does finally find the back of the net, a Goal Gallery will save replays so you can watch the best action. MLS ExtraTime for the PlayStation 2 is due in stores this March.
