(IDG) -- Sega's most popular arcade racer has seen several home incarnations, but "Daytona USA" for the Dreamcast marks the first time that the snazzy graphics will be done justice.

Gamers can race across eight circuits taken from the original arcade version and the Championship edition, but Sega has also included new exclusive tracks for the Dreamcast.

Drivers can choose from four different cars with more available as you unlock them. You and up to three other friends can race online on SegaNet, or go at it with a bud two player split-screen style in your own living room.

Although the action with real people is limited to four, there will be up to 40 cars in a race, so competition from AI drivers will be fierce.

Daytona USA is scheduled to hit stores this March, but in the meantime, look for an upcoming Gamepro preview of the game running on an actual network.
