By Star Dingo (IDG) -- EA has struck a deal with Fox Interactive to publish games based on "The Simpsons," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and "Aliens." The first titles to roll out under the multiyear agreement will be "Aliens: Colonial Marines for the PS2;" "The Simpsons Road Rage" for the PS2 and Xbox; as well as a still-untitled "Buffy" game for the Xbox. "Aliens: Colonial Marines" -- the first in a lineup of next-gen "Aliens" games -- will be a first-person squad-based game based on (three seconds to guess -- 3·2·1) the "Aliens" series of movies.
"The Simpsons Road Rage" will be an action racing title set in the scenic town of Springfield and starring (only two seconds to guess this time -- 2·1) characters from "The Simpsons." "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" will be a single-player, third-person action/horror game based on Joss Whedon's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV" series. EA will be showing all these games and more at this year's E3. |
