Hollywood writers seek Internet kickbacks

(CNN) -- Imagine a day when it's possible to download an entire episode of "Friends" on your computer -- anytime you want to watch it.

Technology prognosticators believe that day is coming sooner than later. And Hollywood writers want to ensure they protect their work without missing out on potential revenue.

As many musicians battle Napster's song-sharing service, these Tinsel Town scribes are trying to preempt a similar confrontation.
