SecuriQ can safeguard, archive Exchange e-mail
By Sam Costello (IDG) -- Group Software Tuesday unveiled a suite of applications that secure, store, protect and encrypt e-mail sent using Microsoft Corp.'s Exchange 2000 or Lotus Development Corp.'s Notes/Domino servers.
SecuriQ can protect every e-mail server and in-box on a corporate network, Group said in a release. The rules-based system can block suspicious attachments, stop confidentiality breaches, append legal text to e-mails and more, according to the company, which is the North American division of the German firm Group Technologies AG. The securiQ Suite, which can be installed on operating systems running the gamut from Windows NT to Linux to Solaris and more, is made up of five distinct components which can installed together or separately:
Also included is the securiQ Suite MMC management console, which plugs into the Microsoft Management Console and allows administrators to oversee the system from a single interface point. Additionally, the system stores log files in a shared, Web-accessible folder and can be set to automatically send e-mail to designated users when certain conditions are met, the company said. SecuriQ Suite is immediately available worldwide and is priced at $10,000 for 250 users. Group Software, in Milford, Massachusetts, can be reached online at http://www.group-software.com. |
