Euro tech show highlights interactive TV
(CNN) -- If you thought the Internet had a big impact on daily life, wait until you see what is happening with interactive TV. Some believe interactive TV is poised to dominate e-commerce and interactive entertainment in just the way many people thought the Web would. At the Milia trade show in Cannes, France, you can easily feel interactive TV is already flexing some early muscle in Europe; more than 5 million U.K. households can buy a pizza or order a coupon through their TVs with a service called Respond TV. "That's evidence that people will actually transact with their television. It's a very trusted medium," said Kevin Morrison of Respond TV. More details from CNN's Rick Lockridge at the Milia trade show. RELATED STORIES: Sony in deal for networked arcade games RELATED SITES: Milia Conference |
