Preserving paradise in Jamaica
(CNN) -- Their music is well-known. Their beaches are legendary. And some of their plants and animals are found nowhere else in the world. But Jamaicans' island paradise also has the world's highest rate of deforestation. It has a high number of plant species in danger of extinction, and the most overfished waters in the English-speaking Caribbean. CNN's Natalie Pawelski explains what people are doing now to try to turn back time and keep their ocean waters alive. |
