ORLANDO, Florida (CNN) -- Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and Disneyland Resort, in Anaheim, California, will reopen all theme parks, water parks, and shopping, entertainment and recreation areas Wednesday morning.
Additionally, Disney Cruise Line sailings will continue as scheduled.
The Disney parks were closed on Tuesday in response to the events in New
York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania. Resort hotels remained open to
accommodate guests. All the Orlando parks will open at their normally
scheduled times.
It was only the second time in Walt Disney World's nearly 30-year
history that the Orlando park has closed.
Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure in the Los Angeles
area will operate from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. PT Wednesday and downtown Disney
locations will operate at their normal times.
On its Web site, the company said, "The safety and welfare of our guests
and cast members continues to be our primary concern. Our thoughts and prayers
continue to go out to those individuals affected by this tragedy."
