Suspect who dared police to catch him arrestedMIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- A man who police say boasted about his criminal exploits and dared them to catch him was captured Wednesday, hiding in his mother's home. Alexander Pena is suspected of cashing more than $200,000 in fraudulent checks, sometimes while dressed as a police officer. Pena, who authorities say is a skillful con artist and career criminal, surprised police by mailing them a videotape of himself and a long-written confession, with his photo at the bottom of each page. In the videotape, Pena taunted police by saying, "Here I am, now you know what I look like. Catch me if you can." Miami Police spokesman, Lt. Bill Schwartz, said that's exactly what happened Wednesday. He said Pena was captured at his mother's home in the Miami suburb of Hialeah. RELATED SITES:
