Miami drive-by shooting leaves 1 dead, 8 woundedMIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- One person was killed and eight wounded in a drive-by shooting early Wednesday outside a 24-hour supermarket, police said. Officials still had no motive for the shooting, which happened at 1:50 a.m. outside the Dolphin Supermarket in northwest Miami, said Nelda Fonticiella, spokeswoman for the Miami-Dade police. Witnesses said the gunman slowed down outside the supermarket in a white vehicle with dark tinted windows and opened fire. Police were still unsure what kind of weapon was used or whether other people were in the car, Fonticiella said. The gunman was still at large hours after the shooting. One victim died on the scene and the eight people wounded were rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital. One was listed in critical condition, three were in serious condition, and three others were in good condition. The status of the eighth victim was unknown. RELATED SITES:
