DALLAS, Texas (CNN) -- More than 25 million American veterans are qualified for burial in a national cemetery, but the Department of Veterans Affairs is short of military burial sites across the country.

About 1,600 U.S. veterans -- mostly survivors of World War II -- die every day, and the department is working to open more national cemeteries in regions with large veteran populations around the country.

CNN Correspondent Ed Lavandera takes viewers to one of the busiest national cemeteries in the country, where about 10 burial services are held each day.
