Dozen shot at block party in BaltimoreBALTIMORE, Maryland (CNN) -- Twelve people were shot Monday night at a block party in East Baltimore, police said. No one was killed in what appeared to have been random shootings, said police Sgt. Charles Jones. The extent of the injuries had not been determined, he said. The shootings, which were reported at 10:06 p.m., took place along a stretch of East North Avenue, he said. Five wounded patients were taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where they were all listed in serious condition. "Right now, we've got a mish-mosh of things," said nursing supervisor Kathy Ross. The seven others were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, police said. But a spokeswoman said the hospital had received only six people: three men and three women. Three of the patients were in critical condition, she said. No one was in custody, police said. |
