Missouri plane crash kills at least 6JOPLIN, Missouri (CNN) -- A twin-engine plane crashed into two houses near Joplin, Missouri, early Friday, killing at least six people, the Jasper County sheriff's office said. Police received a call shortly after 1 a.m. and responded to the scene, about five miles east of the Joplin Regional Airport in Carterville, said Eric Wynn, dispatcher for the Jasper County sheriff's office. Wynn said all people on board were killed but could not confirm how many people were on board or if anyone on the ground died. He said there were no injuries. The plane was traveling to Joplin from Louisiana, he said. |
