Bush to FEMA workers: Thank you

President and Mrs. Bush return to the White House Sunday afternoon.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush is scheduled Monday to thank Federal Emergency Management Agency workers who have been toiling around the clock to assist with recovery efforts in New York and Virginia, the White House said Sunday.

Bush started his day Sunday with a run on the grounds of the presidential retreat at Camp David, then had breakfast with first lady Laura Bush and took a walk with Condoleezza Rice, his national security adviser, a White House official said.

The president, Mrs. Bush, Rice and Andrew Card, the president's chief of staff, attended church services at the Camp David chapel and had brunch together before heading back to Washington, said a White House spokesman.

Bush refused to answer any questions as he arrived at the White House Sunday, but did note that it was his dog, Barney's, birthday.
