Freight train derails in Missouri
PACIFIC, Missouri (CNN) -- A railroad employee was injured Thursday when a freight train derailed in Pacific, Missouri, southwest of St. Louis, a police dispatcher said. The accident occurred about 6 a.m. EST at the plant of U.S. Silica, according to a dispatcher with the Pacific Police Department. The dispatcher did not know how many cars were involved. She said the main street in the town was closed, but there were no evacuations. U.S. Silica makes industrial materials. |
