Snowstorm snarls Northeast travel

(CNN) -- A winter storm that moved up the Atlantic coast dropped snow from Washington to New England, dumping up to a foot in some areas.

Air travel in the Northeast was disrupted Sunday as some airports closed for snow removal. (Click here for flight information from the FAA)

The combination of falling snow and high winds made visibility difficult for motorists. Police reported numerous accidents.

The National Weather Service reports that a foot of snow fell in Morgantown, Pennsylvania, west of Philadelphia.

New York City received at least 6 inches. Up to 10 inches of snow is predicted south of Boston.
