Chinese bomb suspect arrested
BEIJING, China -- A deaf fugitive wanted for a string of explosions that killed at least 108 people in the Chinese city of Shijiazhuang was arrested on Friday. Jin Ruchao was arrested in the city of Beihai in the southwestern coastal province of Guangxi, according to a police official speaking by telephone from Beihai.
The arrest came after four blasts ripped through workers' accommodation blocks last Friday, seriously damaging one building and scarring three others. Police offered a reward for 40-year-old Jin over the blasts and over the murder of his girlfriend and other "especially serious crimes." Jin was fired from the mill in 1983 for hooliganism but kept a room in the factory's dormitory area, local residents said. Reuters contributed to this report. RELATED STORY:
