Bus accident in western China kills 34BEIJING, China -- At least 34 people, including a Pakistani tourist, have been killed after an overloaded bus plunged into a river in China's far western region of Xinjiang. Rescuers are still combing the area for one missing passenger after finding 34 bodies since the accident happend on Friday, China's state-run Xinhua News Agency said. The driver and six other passengers survived by climbing out of the bus before it sank beneath the water, Xinhua said. The driver lost control of the bus while driving from Xinjiang's provincial capital of Urumqi to Xinhe County because of fatigue. The bus had 29 seats but was carrying 42 people, it added.
