The 1,350mph airliner has been out of service since July 2000 when one of Air France's fleet crashed near Paris, killing 113 people.

Now the supersonic plane has been modified with improvements to the fuel tank, undercarriage and tyres, and put through its paces in a series of safety checks and test flights.

So would you fly on Concorde?

This is what you have said

Of course I would fly on Concorde. The safety of this bird is the highest considering the amount of accidents it's had and the reasons for them. If you need to cross the Atlantic then Concorde makes the journey so pleasant, especially since you get much less turbulence than with ordinary jets. -- Samih Darwazah, Jordan.

Certainly!!! Statistically it's safer than driving my car every day. -- David Storey, U.S.

Flying on Concorde is on my list of 10 things still to do in my life. Pity about all the negative publicity last year's crash attracted. -- Denis Fortune, South Africa.

Bring em down here! A Supersonic Pacific crossing would be just the thing! I know QANTAS did place an original order for the things but, hey we can't all have them. -- John Cox, Australia.

Of course I would fly on it. I even flew DC10s!!! -- Mike Reeves, Bhutan.

I wish could afford to fly with Concorde instead of being transported like a piece of meat on the other airlines. -- Elfriede Schmid, Austria.

Concorde is the fastest way to conquer the tyranny of distance, not to mention DVT. So bring it into service on the "Kangaroo Route" and you will find me on it for sure! -- Nicole Cognard, Australia.

Concorde has been flying for more than 20 years, and last July's accident doesn't really prove that the plane's condition does not allow for commercial flying. Concorde is a great plane and with all the improvement they have made on the tyres and fuel tank, I am positive that we won't see an accident of such kind occurring again. -- Hady Eid, Lebanon.

Absolutely! All that man has created is never absolutely PERFECT. There will always be room for error -- minor or fatal. The Concorde is no exception. The crash was thus normal. Let the great bird fly again! -- Chris Kims, Kenya.

With one accident after only 80,000 flights the Concorde is not nearly as safe compared to other commercial aircraft. However, I would still get on board if I had the opportunity. -- Albert Joubert, South Africa.

Yes, of course if I had the opportunity I would fly with Concorde. Concorde has had only one crash in over than 25 years, so it is the most reliable aircraft in the world...Just one problem: tickets are expensive. -- Timothy Opsitch, Switzerland.

I wouldn't hesitate to fly on Concorde; I've never before seen more hype given to an air disaster regarding one specific type of plane. The Concorde means transcontinental flight without the jet lag -- I'll take that any day of the week. -- Paul McGann, U.S.

Sure I would fly with Concorde, only to compensate for the excess risk, I demand a much cheaper ticket. -- Michalis, Cyprus.

Yes Please send me a FREE ticket for its first passenger flight, when it gets its air worthiness certificate back! -- Alan Evans, Wales.

Yes, I would love to fly on the Concorde. That would be a real treat after flying on some of the American air carriers. -- June McGill, U.S.

No doubt about it! It is still the best (rich) passenger aircraft around. -- Balazs Artner, Hungary.

I used to fly the Concorde. I really missed it. I can't wait to get on board! Accidents happen. -- Arnaud Delobel, USA/France.

Sure, why not? Will it ever be affordable for frequent flyers though? -- O Baysan, Northern Cyprus.

Concorde had one accident? How many have Boeing had? Of course I'll fly Concorde. -- Hana Fas, Germany.

Funny, no one wanted to stop flying American Airlines or Japan Airlines or countless other airlines after they have crashed more than once. Concorde is the epitome of aerospace engineering. Heck, yeah, I'll fly on the 'corde! -- Johnny Ochani, USA.

Of course I would fly on a Concorde!I even don't understand why they stopped it last year. What, when a Boeing or an Airbus crashed, somebody put a hold on all these? Gabriel, Romania.

I would. I can remember a relative of a victim of the Concorde crash who said on TV: "100 people in a small metal box over thousands of gallons of fuel. That does not make any sense to me!" I would like to ask him: "How do you think other planes work?" -- Steffen Paetzold, Germany.

Of course, it is the fastest, most beautiful and romantic airplane in the world, and the safest, only one accident in its 25-year history - Welcome back Concorde. -- Mike, Canada.

Who would not fly the Concorde? Flying the Concorde is a once in a lifetime experience. Unfortunately, it is not that cheap but it is definitely one of the things that I plan on doing during my lifetime. I hope the Supersonic beauty stays around for some more time during which to save for the airfare. -- Plamen Marinov, Bulgaria, USA.

I would be the first in line if possible to fly the Concorde again. -- Jon Gat, USA.

As Concorde's crash appears to have been caused by foreign detritus on the runway causing undercarriage failure, then why blame the aircraft? Given the opportunity, I wouldn't hesitate to fly on her. -- Paul Davidson, South Africa.

Of course I would fly Concorde, as I would fly any other airliner. Air travel is THE safest way of travelling (and the most fun). This is even more so in the case of Concorde. This question only proves the influence of the media! One freak crash, full media coverage and everyone thinks Concorde is unsafe! -- Herve Buisset, France.

Without a doubt would fly it again. Or I would have to make the decision to never fly on any plane ever again. -- Constantine, Greece.

I flew on Concorde in 1985 and found it extremely uncomfortable --a very much hyped up aircraft and would not fly on it again especially after the accident. -- Vellwood, UK.

Flying on Concorde? You bet I will! -- Fabrice, Belgium.

Definitely. And one of these days if my lottery ticket comes up, I'll certainly be buying a ticket. Remember, it won't be around for ever and there's nothing in the pipeline to replace it. -- Julian Kernokan, United Arab Emirates.

Accidents happen. Air travel is still one of the safest ways to get around. I would love to fly the Concorde. It is a beauty of engineering perfection. I am glad to see it was not allowed to fade away. -- Walter Block, U.S.

Of course I would. Concorde is the fastest mode of transport and has the same risks as other aircraft, that is for sure. -- Agron Sylaj, Kosovo.

Of course I would!! One hears about car wrecks everyday but we all still drive don't we? -- Christopher Stoffel, U.S.

Given the profile of the crash and the size of each of the brands, the safety focus and investment would reassure me. If it crashes with me in it -- all I can say is, 'What a way to go'. -- Richard Coombes, UK.

Of course! -- Zbynek Dolezal, Czech Republic.

Sure, looking at the historical record, I feel that Concorde is as safe or as risky as any other commercial liner. -- Ajay, The Netherlands.

Of course I would fly on Concorde! -- Robert Stambouli, Cyprus.

Sure I would, if I could afford it! -- Mark Busuttil, Malta

Among all aviation disasters the Concorde crash was a freak accident. I would not hesitate one moment to go on that good-looking piece of human achievement. -- Seve Ungermark, Sweden.

I'd love to - anyone got $1,000 they don't want? -- Marc Taylor, Republic of Ireland.
