Teen killed in West Bank refugee camp

JERUSALEM (CNN) -- The Palestinian Red Crescent said Monday a 15-year-old Palestinian died of gunshot wounds to the chest in the Qalandia refugee camp near Ramallah on the West Bank.

They said Hussam Imad Dissi had been hit by three bullets to the chest. They said there had been clashes with Israeli troops in the area.

The Israel Defense Forces said 100 Palestinians were rioting in an area near the camp, throwing stones and Molotov cocktails.

The IDF said soldiers responded with tear gas and rubber bullets. They said as the situation grew worse life ammunition was fired at the legs of one demonstrator.

The IDF said the incident remained under investigation.
