Explosion in Israeli Arab town wounds 10
JERUSALEM -- Ten people were injured Thursday morning in an explosion near an Arab town in northern Israel, officials said. The blast wrecked a taxi van as it crossed an intersection about two miles from the Umm el-Fahem, but it was not immediately clear if the explosion occurred in the van or on the roadside. Officials said three of the injured were in serious condition. Witness Ilan Zvuluni told The Associated Press that he was a few car lengths behind the taxi when the explosion went off. "I saw wounded people lying on road, a boy among them," he said, adding that soldiers treated some of the wounded. RELATED STORIES:
