Bomb rocks Mideast resortJERUSALEM -- At least 30 people have been injured and a number of people killed in an apparent suicide bomb attack in the coastal resort of Netanya. CNN's Mike Hanna said police believed a man detonated the bomb attached to his body at the entrance of a shopping centre after being refused entry on Friday. Witnesses said he set off explosives he was carrying at the entrance to the Hadarim mall on the outskirts of the city, said Hanna. Netanya is about six miles from the West Bank and has been the scene of several bomb attacks by Palestinian militants. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for Friday's attack. Israeli security forces have been on high alert for attacks by Palestinian militants during more than seven months of conflict. |
