Israel Radio reported on Thursday that a Palestinian suicide bomber, belonging to Hamas, had blown himself up.

Palestinian security and Palestine Red Crescent Society sources said they were told by the Red Cross to send an ambulance to pick up the body.

The body has not been turned over by the Israelis, Palestinian sources added, and no information has been released on the identity of the dead person.

A Palestinian man wanted in the shooting of a settler died on Wednesday after he was shot as Israeli border police attempted to arrest him near the West Bank town of Hebron, Israeli authorities said.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society named the man as Issa Dababfeh, an activist in Palestinian Authority leader Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement.
