Eagles to tour, release new album
Atlanta (CNN) -- Veteran rockers The Eagles will reunite for a European tour this year and may release their first studio album in 20 years, drummer Don Henley told CNN's World Beat. "We are getting ready to do a tour of Europe this summer, both western and eastern Europe, and we also going to Russia, and that's going to start in May and go through the end of July probably, and I'm excited about that,' Henley said as he was on tour promoting his solo album "Inside Job." "I'm sure The Eagles will go into the studio eventually, probably in the fall after we get back and get rested from the European tour," Henley added. The Eagles manager Larry Salter confirmed the new tour and said show dates would be released later. The Eagles last reunited in 1994 for their hugely successful "Hell Freezes Over" tour, named that since many of the bands members vowed never to get back together after breaking up in 1981. That tour included a number one live album by the same name. The Eagles' "Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975" remains the top selling album of all time, according the Recording Industry Association of America. RELATED SITES:
