(CNN) -- German sports car maker Porsche is the most profitable European car company, according to analysts.

It currently only makes two models -- the Boxster and the 911s.

But the company, which sells half its cars in the United States, is adding another string to its bow with the launch of the Cayenne.

Created in association with Volkswagen, the Cayenne is expected to boost total Porsche output to 75,000 to 80,000 units per year from about 50,000.
