Power nap may refresh employees

(CNN) -- It's been one of those days at work. Eating a big lunch, then attending a long afternoon meeting may be enough to put the average employee asleep.

But the boss may be more forgiving about employees nodding off after learning about the effects that naps can have on worker productivity.

Harvard researchers may have discovered a way to put a jolt into the workday minus caffeine. Their research suggests that those who nap may be more effective in their jobs.

These findings notwithstanding, a siesta is unlikely to become widespread policy in U.S. companies anytime soon.
