Fit For 2
(CNN) -- If you are a new mother or expecting your first baby, experts say there's still room for exercise. "Fit For 2" allows new moms to exercise with their little ones in a low-impact aerobic class or at home. The babies are placed in a sling or snuggly. They are also used as resistance in bicep curls and abdominal exercises. Studies indicate that if you continue exercising during pregnancy, you'll have a better chance at keeping off those unwanted pounds.
Remember, it's important to gain some weight during pregnancy for a healthy baby. A normal weight gain during pregnancy ranges from between 25 to 35 pounds. Experts caution pre and post-natal women should get their physician's stamp of approval before they continue or start an exercise program. |
