Stress and exercise(CNN) -- More than half of all U.S. adults say they experience high levels of stress on a daily basis.
Chronic stress can lead to headaches, back pain, heart disease and, of course, unhappiness. Conventional wisdom would say exercise would just strain the body further. But that's not the case. Exercise can do more than just provide you time to clear your head. Getting your heart rate up also reduces stress on a chemical level. Liz Weiss reports on this simple, often overlooked, antidote to stress. |
