CNN's Christy Feig looks at the benefits of exercise and fitness for the physically challenged (September 6)

(CNN) -- It's no secret Americans enjoy watching and playing competitive sports like football, basketball and baseball.

However, for amputees, deaf, visually impaired and physically disabled people -- particularly people with spinal cord injuries and cerebral palsy -- it's very difficult.

But there's a keen interest in sports among the disabled.

Sporting events such as the Paralympics and Games for the Physically Disabled have been created just for this group.

Scot Holonbec, with Sports Marketing in Atlanta, refuses to allow his physical condition to get in the way of his ability to enjoy his first love: being an athlete.

Despite his physical challenges, Holonbec is determined to stay fit and teach others.

Christy Feig has more on this athlete and his drive to inspire other disabled athletes.
