TUCSON, Arizona (CNN) -- Singer Diana Ross is to appear in court next month after her arrest on suspicion of drunken driving, a Tucson police spokeswoman said Tuesday.

A field test administered early Monday by officers showed Ross had a blood-alcohol level of 0.20, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08, spokeswoman Judy Altieri told CNN.

Her initial court appearance is scheduled for January 13.

The 58-year-old performer, who gained fame as a member of The Supremes singing group, was pulled over after someone reported seeing a swerving vehicle.

Ross was cited with three misdemeanors, including driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 and "extreme DUI"-- driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.15, Altieri said.

Ross was cooperative during the arrest, according to Altieri. She said officers drove her to where she was staying after issuing the citations.

The publicity firm of Rogers & Cowan, which represents Ross, declined comment on the matter.

The singer entered a drug and alcohol rehab facility in Malibu, Calif., in May to deal with what her publicist described at the time as "personal issues."

Aside from her singing career, Ross has also enjoyed success as an actress. She was nominated for an Oscar in 1973 for her work in "Lady Sings the Blues," and won a Golden Globe for the same performance.
