Rene Russo: 'Showtime'
In Style (In Style) -- Powerful TV producer Chase Renzi (Rene Russo) is a woman who knows how to get what she wants. So when she tries to persuade reluctant LAPD detective Mitch Preston (Robert De Niro) to co-star with overeager patrolman Trey Sellars (Eddie Murphy) in a reality-based show (think "Starsky & Hutch" meets "Cops"), she dangles more than fame and fortune. "She leaves her hair down," says hairstylist Enzo Angileri of Cloutier. "And her bangs fall strategically across her face. She looks sexy and edgy." Does her plan work? "How could it not?" asks Angileri. "Rene is stunning." Makeup artist Shane Paish adds, "She's 48 years old and has three wrinkles on her face. I barely had to use foundation. I've never seen anyone like her." HairAfter running a hair dryer through damp locks, Angileri used a round brush to blow hair straight and coax bangs to the right. To further smooth down sections he glided a straightening iron from the roots, stopping four inches from the ends. Last, he slid a big curling iron through the ends. "That gives the style a little bend that is so subtle and beautiful," he explains. For shine he used his fingers to work in Kiehl's Creme with Silk Groom. Eyes
Paish brushed Laura Mercier Caramel eye shadow into the creases and lower lash lines, then dusted the lavender hue from Nars Marienbad compact on lids. He finished with Kevyn Aucoin Rich Pitch black mascara. FacePaish started by lightly sponging on a blend of Christian Dior Teint Compact Lisse cream foundation in Light Beige and Medium Beige. Next he applied Christian Dior Hydrating concealer in Light Golden under the eyes. To highlight Russo's high cheekbones, Paish brushed on Chanel Rose Bronze powder blush just above the apples of her cheeks. LipsWith his "favorite lip liner," Nars Rosebud, Paish lined and filled in lips, topping with Chanel Soleil Volage lipstick.
