Cast under the web tent outside Brentwood's Wadsworth Theatre, acrobats performed daring tricks while guests had their faces painted in red and blue webs and black arachnids. Others, suited up in Velcro gear, were hoisted onto adhesive walls, flung on bungee cords or shot up on trampolines. For the Peter Parker types, "Spider-Man" video-game stations entertained while others superimposed their faces on Spider-Man's body in the computer-animated digital photo booth.

THE FOOD

Caterer Mary Micucci of Along Came Mary dished up the night with Gotham-themed food: matzo ball soup and pastrami sandwiches from the Green Goblin deli, stir-fry from Chinatown, and pizza and pasta from Little Italy. Ice-sculpted martini bars served red cosmopolitans and green apple martinis, in honor of the colors of the movie's hero and villain.
