Elizabeth Hurley: 'Serving Sara'
InStyle (InStyle) -- What do you do when you get hit hard? If you're Sara Moore (Elizabeth Hurley), a wealthy cattle ranch owner who is about to be served divorce papers by her philandering husband, you hit back harder. To gain the upper hand, Moore persuades a process server (Matthew Perry) to trek with her to Texas to serve her husband with papers first. She promises him a hefty cut of her settlement, and her bedazzling looks don't hurt her cause. "Elizabeth has expressive blue-gray eyes, and she normally prefers dark eye makeup, but we went for a fresh effect," says makeup artist and hairstylist Tracey Lee. "I very lightly dusted on shadow. In the past we always created outrageous looks. It was nice just to keep her natural and beautiful." LipsLee used Estée Lauder Crystal Baby lipstick, then topped lips with Vaseline. Face"Elizabeth loves her skin to feel moist," says Lee. So she used Estée Lauder Lightweight Re-Nutriv Creme before applying Estée Lauder Lucidity foundation in Outdoor Beige. Next she dusted on Estée Lauder So Ingenious powder. Last, she applied Estée Lauder Pink Sand powder blush on cheeks. "Elizabeth's favorite makeup item is blush," says Lee. "She thinks she looks frighteningly corpselike without it!" Eyes
Lee simply ran Estée Lauder Soft Brown eye pencil along lash lines, then smudged it with a brush. She added a touch of Estée Lauder Color Intensity eye shadow in Hazelnut on lid creases and finished with Estée Lauder Illusionist mascara in black. HairTo add lift to Hurley's fine strands, Lee used "gallons" of Phytologie Phytovolume Actif spray on damp roots before blow-drying hair straight with a round brush. Then she worked Phytologie Phyto 7 cream into ends to smooth them out. For hold, she spritzed hair with L'Oréal Elnett hairspray (available only in the U.K.; for a similar effect try L'Oréal Studio Line Fast Forward hairspray).
