Adam Ant on firearms chargeLONDON, England -- Eighties pop star Adam Ant faces assault and weapons charges after a scuffle in a London pub, police say. The 47-year-old singer, whose real name is Stuart Goddard, was arrested on Saturday night at the Prince of Wales pub in north London. He has been charged with possession of a firearm or imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and with criminal damage and assault. He was released on bail and ordered to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on January 18. The singer, whose hits included "Stand and Deliver" and "Prince Charming," is scheduled to headline a 1980s nostalgia tour this spring. |
