Kylie plans to be a bride

The Australian pop star says she believes she and her boyfriend will marry
The Australian pop star says she believes she and her boyfriend will marry

LONDON, England -- Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue is set to break millions of male fans' hearts by revealing she will marry.

The diminutive diva tells British chat show host Michael Parkinson she is "sure" she and her boyfriend James Gooding will wed one day.

Asked if she wants to marry Gooding and have children with him, she says: "I think so... yes. I always try and not say yes or no because who knows? But I'm sure it will happen."

Minogue, fresh from success at the Brits where she picked up two awards and stole the show with her scantily-clad performance, also admits she had been guilty of putting her career before her love life.

"My current aim for the future is to find better harmony," she says.

"I love, love work. I have 15 years' experience which I use all the time.

"But I have neglected a degree of my personal life which is not good and I berate myself for that."

Minogue has had a string of relationships, including a high-profile romance with late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence.

On the Parkinson show, to be broadcast on the BBC on Saturday, she speaks warmly of the Hutchence.

"He was incredibly charismatic, very intelligent, generous, funny and a fabulous storyteller. He was just larger than life but humble with it, she said.

"I met him at a point in my life when I was just ready to look at the world and it was like he took my blinkers off."

She admits that Hutchence's life involved drugs and alcohol and admits: "I, like most people, had a little two or three year period in my life where I went out all the time and I did experience some of those things.

"But it doesn't suit me long term. I'd rather have my wits about me so I never really fell into it. I'm basically quite straight and boring."

On Wednesday she won the best international album prize for Fever and best international Female category at the Brits.
