Espadrilles

(In Style) -- Whether wedges or flats, espadrilles are showing up on the chicest feet this summer.

New York designer Charlotte Ronson just introduced a collection of espadrilles with flat or wedge heels and playful details like embroidered strawberries and daisies (shown right, $78; 888-544-7404 or flipfloptrunkshow.com).

Kate Spade's wedge-heel styles come in crisp color combinations such as red canvas with black-and-white-striped ribbons ($125; 212-274-1991); DKNY offers espadrilles in canvas with matching grosgrain trim in white, black and red ($118; 212-223-3569).

For those who would rather opt for a traditional style, try André Assous, who has been making espadrilles for 25 years ($55-$70; Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's.)
