(In Style) -- She lives a charmed life, but trouble is brewing for free-spirited enchantress Phoebe Halliwell (Alyssa Milano).

About to marry half-demon Cole (Julian McMahon), Phoebe is dealing with more than just bridal jitters: Though Cole's love is sincere, his demonic duties force him to sabotage their white wedding so he can marry her in a dark ceremony.

But for better or for worse, this unwitting witch is determined to say "I do," and her elegant, timeless look reflects her hopes of a fairy-tale ending for their romance.

"Phoebe epitomizes what a woman wants to look like on her wedding day," says makeup artist Bret Mardock. But unless she shows Cole who's the boss, her dreams of a match made in heaven will become a marriage made in hell.

Clothes

While it may be bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding, it's disastrous for Phoebe's Prince Charming to see the dress.

To delay the wedding, Cole magically transforms her traditional white gown from a size 2 to a 20—in a failed attempt to prevent her from wearing it.

"I needed five dresses to show the progress of it growing," says costume designer Eilish, who found the satin scalloped-hem gowns with lace insets and diamanté-and-sea pearl beading at David's Bridal.

"It's the typical beautiful, classic wedding gown," says Eilish. "She waited so long for this."

Hair

"Her character is a timeless beauty," says hair stylist Audrey Futterman-Stern of Milano, whose hip yet sophisticated new hairdo was easily transformed into this modern version of a classic wedding-day coif.

Futterman-Stern first blow-dried Milano's naturally curly hair straight. Then using a Marcel iron and Rene Furterer volumizing mousse, she added curls over the entire head, before pinning to set.

After removing pins, she finger combed curls with Fudge Head Polish, keeping the crown of the head soft.

Finally she applied Sebastian Molding Mud on bangs "to piece them out" for a spiky look.

Face

"Phoebe's look is cleaner now," says Mardock. "Before she was a bit edgier." As foundation on Milano's olive skin Mardock applied Prescriptives Traceless in Level 3, dabbing on Trish McEvoy Protective Shield concealer in Ivory under her eyes.

He then dusted on T. LeClerc loose powder in Banane, before dabbing the apples of her cheeks with Stila Convertible Color in Poppy "for a bit of a glow."

To give a more polished look, Mardock lined the lips with MAC lip pencil in Cedar and topped with Awake lip gloss in Garnet.

Eyes

"The overall look is very soft," says Mardock, who began by highlighting Milano's entire lid with MAC eye shadow in Brulé (a creamy beige).

He then applied MAC blush in Harmony (a warm rosy brown) in the crease and MAC shadow in Ricepaper (a soft peachy gold) under the brow bone "to pop the eye."

He lined the top and bottom lashes with MAC shadow in Brun, drawn with a wet brush, then smudged with a dry one, before dabbing a touch on the corner of her outer lid for added depth.

The final touch: a coat of Lorac Lashes mascara in black. Click here to find out more about the Charmed wedding and how you can own Phoebe's dress.
