Space: The Final Tourist Trap

(CNN) -- Last year a millionaire named Dennis Tito plunked down nearly $20 million and opened the portals of space to tourism. Now there's a second paying passenger ready to take that heady ride.

His name is Mark Shuttleworth, a young South African Internet mogul who's currently in Star City, Russia training for a trip in April.

While still a ride only available to the very rich, the trip out of this world is becoming a dream that money can buy and no longer only available to highly-trained space travelers.

With Russia needing the money these trips can provide for their tenuous economy, this trend is something that is only going to grow. And like any good trend, many different companies want a piece of the space tourism market.
