Airline: Fly on September 11 for a buck(CNN) -- National Airlines says it wants to keep America moving on September 11 with a fare-busting special -- $1 tickets. The Las Vegas-based airline is offering the dollar special on economy seats booked online for September 11. The fare is for one-way travel and must be combined with another National Airlines fare for round-trip travel, according to the airline. Also, first class seats on September 11 are on sale for the price of an upgrade fee plus $1. National flies between Las Vegas and New York, Washington, Philadelphia, Dallas, and San Francisco. Money from the dollar fares will be donated to the Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund in conjunction with the Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of America. Last week, Spirit Airlines announced it will not be charging airfare for any seat on the one-year anniversary of the terrorist attacks. |
