Flight 93 widow, baby girl leave hospital
NEW YORK (CNN) -- Lisa Beamer, the widow of a United Airlines Flight 93 passenger believed to have died while trying to help overpower the hijackers on September 11, took her newborn baby girl home from the hospital Friday. Morgan Kay Beamer, 7 pounds and 20.5 inches, was born at 1:59 p.m. Wednesday at the Princeton Medical Center in Princeton, New Jersey. Morgan is the middle name of the baby's father, Todd Beamer, and Kay is her mother's middle name. Todd Beamer is believed to have rushed the plane's cockpit with other passengers after learning that three other airlines hijacked that morning were flown into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. All 44 people on board United Flight 93 were killed when the plane crashed into a field in western Pennsylvania. Authorities believe its hijackers had planned to crash the Boeing 757 into a building in Washington, D.C.
