Air rage incident on US Airways flight

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (CNN) -- A passenger on board a US Airways flight from Boston to Philadelphia was taken into police custody Friday night after allegedly attacking a flight attendant, a spokesman for the airline said.

The incident happened about 15 minutes before the plane was scheduled to land in Philadelphia. The passenger was restrained by other passengers onboard until the plane landed.

US Airways spokesman John Bronson said the man was taken into police custody, but he could not confirm that he was arrested.

The flight attendant was taken to a hospital for observation. Bronson said he had no word on her condition.
